Just a couple of photos to show how Kaya's room looks now that I've finally got it to a point that we're both happy with it. A short history...I wanted her room purple. The kid wanted blue. We finally struck a compromise and chose blue with a purple stripe, to complement her comforter. And yes. I did that stripe all by myself, with the help of a yard stick and masking tape. I was impressed with myself. Kaya received a Bombay Kids gift card for Christmas and used half of it to buy a mini fridge for her room. I was less than thrilled (it doesn't go with the decor) but, in the end, you just have to shrug it off and realize that it's her room. I was tickled to realize that I could hang my baby chandelier in her room. It was finally out of the closet and on display. We still have some finishing touches to do, such as a throw rug, bookcase and a mural, but we are both pretty pleased with it as it is now.
