I'm a Survivor!

Well, the title is probably a little bit extreme. But I did get through the surgery pretty well. All of the staff was really nice and I felt really comfortable. I was up and about in less than an hour coming out of the operating room. My only complaints of the whole thing is that I could taste medical gas for the rest of the day and my throat hurt like there was no tomorrow. It's funny because I kept having this dream for a couple of days after that something was being forced down my throat, and it would always startle me awake. I think they may have been a bit rough intubating me :) I came out of it with three itty bitty incisions and gratitude that my doctor didn't slice and dice my favorite tattoo! Mom and Shayne were there to help out for which I was really grateful. The best part was all of the goodies that Amy brought over. Nothing says loving like a big batch of cookies and cinnamon rolls! Yum!!
The really good news is that my ovaries were left intact since there was nothing wrong with either. It appears that all of the pain and discomfort was due to massive amounts of scar tissue in the area that resulted from the two previous surgeries that I had in the area. I was so happy to hear that. The post-op appointment is next week and I'll have a better idea then of everything that had happened.
