Molding Young Minds

I was asked by the kid's Girl Scout Troop to come and speak about my decision to join the military and some of my experiences serving as a woman. My first thought was "Great! Yet another thing to add to my to-do list!" But, you know what? It turned out to be a lot of fun. The girls had tons of questions for me and I felt that they were actually interested. Oddly enough, they were very enthusiastic when discussing the M-16. Their future hubbies better beware :) As a plus (I guess) all of the mom's kept telling me how "cute" I look in uniform. I would just like to point out that the look I was going for was "fierce, tough, and hardcore". You can't win them all, I guess.

I am not sure which hat I like best. I think the one you're wearing looks more tough, but I like the look of the other hat that they used to wear as well. It really reminds me of the green burets. I always thought that they looked tough in their burets. But what do I know? I'm just a civilian!--Jeremy
