Our long Christmas journey began in an airport so grim
People were grouchy and patience was thin
The flight finally boarded, we were up in the air!
Tried to sleep in the cramped seat though there were no pillows to spare
Touchdown in Boston, Californians cried "Snow!"
Thank God we dressed warm, it seemed 20 below
Now the drive to New Hampshire, a winter wonderland
We sure were far away from the beaches and sand
Upon our arrival, what a glorious sight!
Such piles and piles of cookies that my thighs screamed in fright
Ms. Judy had mixed and rolled and baked with such care
I gleefully resigned myself to ending up the size of a small mare
Sledding, the Mountain View Grand, Santa's Village, and a sleigh ride, to boot
We had so much fun, the whole trip was a hoot
Christmas morn' arrived, pretty packages stacked near to the ceiling
Took almost all day to come off that high, giddy feeling
After a whole week of the relaxation, the fun and the snow
It was time to say goodbye and time for us to go
The holiday was filled with lots of love and good cheer
That I'm already making plans for a New Hampshire Christmas next year
