Two's Company, Three's a Crowd: Kaya is 9!!

Kaya celebrated her 9th birthday with a slumber party. She had a choice this year of an ice skating party where she could invite only two friends or the sleepover with four. She didn't want to pick and choose so went with the four! The girls chowed down on cupcakes and pizza, watching movies until 4 in the morning. Nana joined us and really enjoyed a couple of the balloons that we had floating around. We also discovered that a great party game is "Stick the Static Balloon to the Cat". Romeo seemed to enjoy that, too. The best part was the fact that, in the end, it was surprisingly affordable. I can't help but laugh when I realize that, as each year goes by, I spend less money and the kids have way more fun. The week before that, Kaya's sitters decided to throw her a little surprise party. Who knew how hilarious it would be to watch a kid, who's hardly bigger than the stick she's holding, take a whack at a pinata? She really enjoyed it, though, because she loves pinatas and doesn't get a chance to attack one often enough.
