One small step for man, one giant leap for rockin' girls!

"Does this smile make me look cheesy?"

"Well, you see, the sun is a giant ball of flaming hot gas. 5700 degrees celsius to be exact. And if you don't give me good scores, Mr. Judge, I'll get you a personal trip to go visit it!"

Last week, the the fifth grade hosted a "Space Expo". Each student created a project about anything space related. On the evening of, the kids stood before their project and put out as much knowledge as they could into the universe. It was fun, though loooong. Kaya didn't win a prize and was a bit disappointed but thrilled for her friend who nabbed first place. We jammed as quickly as we could and missed out on the telescopes that were set up for viewing Saturn and the moon. Some moms and I are taking our girls to the Griffith Observatory in a couple of weekends for a follow-up and I'm really looking forward to that!
