Labor Day weekend, Shayne and I took up a coworker on an invitation to join him in the infield at California Speedway for a little bit of NASCAR for the whole weekend. Despite the 110 degree weather, lack of A/C and several, ahem, "colorful" individuals, we had a blast! The best thing was the fact that we were able to wander from on top of an RV to any seat we wanted in the grandstands. I can't even tell you how awesome our views were. For a first-timer, or "rookie" as I was known, it was the best way to experience things. Good company, yummy treats, and fast cars. Yeehaw!!
